DELENA Dominick age 93, passed away on April 30, 2008, in Middletown, NY, a former resident of Stony Brook, NY. Dominick was a retired N.Y.C. fireman and Long Island postal worker. He is the beloved father of daughters Grace (Jerry) Lanuti and Joy Kissane and son, Daniel (Carol) Delena. His grandchildren Michael (Teresa) Lanuti and Shannan (Bobby) Magnetico and five great-grandchildren brought him much joy.

He is predeceased by Catherine, his wife of 53 years, Reta, his wife of 10 years, and daughter, Mary Ann. A loving, Christian man, he will be sorely missed. Beloved husband of Christine (nee: Corrigan), loving and devoted father of Kyle John, son of the late John and Rose Votto. Former NY State Director of Veterans Affairs and Past Queens County Commander of the American Legion. Mr.

Votto received his baccalaureate degree at St John's University and Master of Arts at Colombia University. He enlisted as an apprentice seaman in the United States Naval Midshipman School at Notre Dame University. Frank served in the Pacific Combat Area and was wounded during the second Battle of the Philippine Sea. He is the holder of the Purple Heart, the Naval Citation, the Philippine Liberation Medal and five combat stars. Mr.

Votto was honorably discharged from the navy with Lieutenant. He was appointed instructor in history and sociology at St. John's University, subsequently advanced to the rank of assistant professor. He terminated his faculty status in June 1959. Frank commenced his public service with the Divison of Veterans Af- fairs and was appointed a State veteran counselor.

Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller appointed him Director of Veterans Affairs on September 23, 1959. Mr. Votto served in the cabinets of the Honorable Nelson A. Rockefeller, Hon.

Malcolm Wilson and Hon. Hugh L. Carey. Mr. Votto was a member of the American Legion, Catholic War Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Frank was a member of local civic, Fraternal, professional and religious organizations.
