The food was mediocre. One thing I didn’t like about this place or most steak places in Mexico is that they bleed out their steaks if you know what I’m talking about. They wash out all the blood so when you cut into your steak it almost looks like pork. Takes flavor away. The prices were descent and customer service was good.

A nice change should you be wanting something other than typical Mexican food.Had a sharing platter which included flank steak, chorizo, grilled vegetables, potato wedges, tortillas and cheese. Added bone marrow and mashed potatoes. Red snapper was tastey.Everything was acceptable with nothing really standing out. The one exception was the salsas they give you with the tortilla chips as you’re seated-they were excellent.Air conditioning was a welcome surprise.Not much atmosphere to speak of but the live music was pleasant.Visited on a Saturday evening around 7 and was seated immediately. Service was acceptable.Would not be in a rush to repeat.

“Steakhouse” in the more touristy part of Tulum. Nice décor, efficient albeit not friendly waiter. As is the case in most places around here, no one speaks a word of English, so ordering can be challenging. The menu is only viewable via QR code, so having a phone with internet is advisable. Food was above average, but not great, prices are above average too. For a steak, 3 tacos and 3 adult beverages, cost was $83 CAD.

Flank steak was something else. Always go one step on the cook of your steak in mexico. Great vibes and beautiful foood. Highly recommend all the fish and meat steaks. Quick service

Food and place is awesome and delicious. Me and my cousin had stayed in tulum for 5 days. We found this place I believe in our second day staying and we loved it so we came a second time before leaving. David and Ricardo was such awesome people , David recommended us sangria it was really good. My cousin had New York steak and I had filet. Food was just good I couldn’t recommend any other steak place around in tulum besides this one !

We had already eaten dinner, but wanted to try this place before we came back home, so we ordered dessert to go. The chocolate cake and cheesecake with raspberry topping were both amazing! Can't wait to come back and actually try the rest of the menu. It smelled delicious and the staff was kind and attentive for the short time we were there.

El Asadero never disappoints. Everything I have had from the menu is delicious, but my favorite is the Fajitas Mixto. The ambiance is very nice, especially after dark with the quaint little park across the street.

Perfectly grilled ribeye steak, grilled asparagus wrapped with carrot, potato wedges fried until crispy. Chips with all sorts sauces for appetizers. I would recommend El Asadero.

So far this week I have eaten almost a lifetimes worth of tacos. El Asadero is and always will be my favorite place to eat in the area.It has a tropical boho atmosphere that I love.I ordered the half portion of the flank steak. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection.The wait staff was very attentive and polite.I can't say enough good things about my experience there.

Meehh. My wife and I both ordered Flank steak medium rare. Both were well done and drowning in oil. None of the staff came to ask if everything was fine... if you sit outside, you basically sit on the sidewalk next to a busy road... A very average experience, wouldn't go there again

Went with a large group and were seated in the private room for dinner. We were recommended to this restaurant by our tour guide.

We found here by walking around area, that was really good experience for us. Food is delicious and local beers extremely suggested. Thanks for the good service as well.

This is our favorite restaurant in Tulum. There are probably trendier spots, but for the sheer amount of tasty food for the price, you can't beat it. The atmosphere is great, the service is great, and the price is right for huge steaks, massive burritos, etc. The ingredients are noticeably fresh, too.

Perfect spot when you need some cleanse and rejuvenation after night of dancing and alcohol.Their açai bowls and avocado toast will definitely help with nutrition and recovery while being super delicious.Get power brew and shroom brew.If you need extra get shilajit shot.Avocado toast with red cabbage is also great choice.You can sit at the beach but its busy or go to their jungle table which much more zen and relaxing.Don’t miss it and enjoy!

Loved this cafe on the beach. Amazing vibes and great food. We had poncho (cat) give us company. They have great plant based food options.

Raw Love cafe exhales the love you breathe once you enter, this place not only serves food made with love but transmits an complete sensory experience of peace and love, through the vegetation, the furniture, the people, the crystals, scalar energy and atmosphere. It’s a healing place even if you don’t consume a thing. The avocado toast is a 8.4/10, the Chocolate dream is defiantly for the chocolate lovers, is amazing, a solid 9.5/10 all the smoothie bowls will fill you! Talking from a 1.87m male body :) anything you order here is just amazing. Raw Love has one of the most loving waiters I’ve met, his name is Humberto, incredible human and lovely soul that man has. Definitely come here, it’s a spiritual experience.

What a wonderful place! I got a smoothie bowl from here on my first night and I was HOOKED! I came here almost every day. I almost thought about going plant based! (haha no) But really, a nice smoothie bowl and a relaxing seat on the beach was exactly what I didn't know I needed. My only feedback would be to accept card for payment instead of cash only.

We were in tulum for an afternoon so we decided to chill at the beach by choosing raw love beach.It is a very nice place, the food we ordered was amazing as was the beach.The staff was welcoming and gave very good advice for co*cktails and food!If you happen to be in Tulum to have a nice brunch by the beach this is the place to choose !

The setting of this cafe is so cute! Slightly overpriced but the food was tasty! We got a smoothie bowl and a vegan cheese cake and they were really tasty! Especially the cheese cake this was really really nice, definitely give it a try! It was slightly spenny but I guess everywhere is on the beach. 🥥🥝Cute hammocks to relax in and your feet can be in the sand 👣 🐚They do also have a cafe on the beach!! This one was also very pretty and slightly smaller so check them both out before you decide which to sit and order at!!

We came here for breakfast because of the many good reviews. Unfortunately, the visit was a disappointment.Our bowls were both very boring, with very few toppings or ingredients. Both bowls were super cold, just above freezing, which didn't help create a taste experience.The prices are crazy. The drinks are also completely overpriced. Around 40 US dollars for something like that and then you leave hungry.The live music was a bit disturbing, very loud and the appearance of the LSD guru made me and my partner feel a bit embarrassed.The place itself, the patio is nice and quiet.Service was friendly.

This is a must visit for breakfast when you're in Tulum. I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the sculpture due to high season. I love how fresh their food is. The fruit bowl gave me fuel and the avocado toast is a must!

Raw Love Cafe is a perfect brunch spot while you’re visiting the shops on the road along Tulum Beach. They had an expansive menu that was geared towards health, wellness and flavor. The staff was incredible and spoke English. The atmosphere feels like a little oasis, with small terraces filled with soft sand and wood benches. My recommendations are the cold brew coffee (seriously, it’s unbelievable) and their smoothie bowls. This is a must if you’re visiting.

I had the avocado toast here and it was probably one of the best ones I have ever ordered in my life. The beach restaurant is really nice. The vibe is nice and the staff is friendly. My friend had the vegan pizza which was also delicious and I also tried the curry all very good. Their juices and smoothies were excellent as well. I want to try them all.

Great ambience, great food and there’s always good music playing. There isn’t much rush around and it’s also on a bustling street with lots of shopping around. Good restaurant for vegetarians and vegans. Lots of good options to try! If we had more days in Tulum, we would visit this place again for sure.

Raw Love was one of the highlights of our trip to Tulum. Super healthy & delicious vegan food! I’ll miss the living pizza & avocado toast 🤤 The smoothies & chocolate cake were also amazing.

Service as good.We tried three smoothie bowls açaí, green goddess and the macadamia one. Açaí was the best. The green goodness tastes a bit too healthy/grassy for me. The Thai noodle salad was very good and filling!

A hidden gem. It is exactly the atmosphere for zen and peaceful time. A highlight of the trip. The ambience to the food was beyond 5 stars. Chocolate dream bowl and avocado toast were incredible. The server offered us a free chocolate cake with raspberry. It was delicious as well. I could’ve spent hours there.

Great, natural food and nice setting tucked away behind the beach, but service was just OK, average at best. They include a 20% tip on the bill and cash only - very inconvenient considering most other places in Mexico take card these days.

Please don't waste your money here. I asked if the fish was fresh and they said yes, but unfortunately, everything is frozen. The only good thing is the service but the rest money throw into the rubbish. So, choose another one better than this.

La Gloria de Don Pepe makes you feel like you’re in a Spanish home, filled with family and vibrant energy. This restaurant serves authentic Spanish food, I’ve been in Spain and I can tell this is great for being in Tulum. I really recommend the Paella, all pellas are amazing, the croquetas also look very good, Tortilla española is a no brainer and a 75$ glass of wine to put it all together is just the right experience anybody wants. I had a great time coming here. Lovely place and atmosphere. I want to try the chorizo and salchichas next.

One of my favorite restaurants in Tulum by far! Delicious food with good ingredients. You can choose from a varied assortment of spanish tapas at a very reasonable price or main dishes like paella or fideua (the one in the photo is fideua with squid ink, so goood). The place is cozy and the staff very attentive. I would go again and again, do not miss it!

We ate in alot of restaurants in Tulum Downtown in 2 weeks and i must say this is one of the few best.We love food in Tulum so we tried about 2 new restaurants/day, La Gloria de Don Pepe being one that we happily return to.The food is absolutely delicious, cheap but very good, one person eats and drinks with about 10-12 dollars.The staff is friendly, they have street artists singing, everything is great, we recommend it 100%. What we loved most is queso fundido con chistorra and pulpo a la gallega.

This place had some of the best paella that I've ever had! My mother was viting in Tulum and we went her for her final dinner before leaving. Definitely worth it! The staff were very friendly and the whole atmosphere was very friendly and homely! It made me feel like I was eating at a friend's home! The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the area of Tulum as well!

Looking for paella 🥘?Here is the right place in town.I ordered fish & shrimp paella and it was so delicious. We ordered garlic shrimp too No spicy for the kids and mistakenly brought us spicy but they nicely replaced it for us which was super taste.For Paella in the menu cost about $220 per person but the minimum order is for two people which means it cost $440.I highly recommend this place.

Great place with high quality Spanish food. The Paella was to die for, fresh, tasty and large portion size. The Tapas, the Escalivada with Goat Cheese was excellent and Potato Brava was great too. Must try!

Been trying to come to this restaurant my last couple of trips to Tulum ( previous visits they were closed or renovating) Finally made it and it was worth the wait. Super friendly staff and oh my god the paella was to die for (try the mixed paella). It takes 40 mins for them to prepare and comes in minimum 2 portions. Great service, great prices. Finish your dinner with a carajillo! Definitely would come back. Gracias!

Service is great and the restaurant really makes you feel like you are in Spain again. They have outdoor seating right by the street. The kitchen is open so you can peer in to see your food cooking. We ordered the seafood paella which takes about 40 mins to cook at about 250 pp and you can only order this with a minimum of 2 people. So I would suggest to order first and the other stuff can be ordered later. Seafood paella was subpar because the rice was burnt, not charred. but considering we were in Mexico - it was a nice taste. We loved the pulpo appetizer though - it was soft and had some great flavors. The people are genuine and they don’t attempt to scam you. So we were happy about that!

We had a beautiful fish paella 👍👍👍But be aware, they make it fresh! So have a seat, ordere some sparkling wine, relax and 30 minutes later your paella will be served 😉Definitely worth to try. Nice Spanish / Mexican ambient.

Very nice cafe in Tulum proper. The latte and cappuccino I had were both very good. The food was also excellent. My chilaquiles were quite tasty. Got it with both the red and green sauces but it wasn’t too spicy. My wife’s eggs Benedict was as delicious as it looks in the picture.If I had any complaint it would be that it took quite awhile for the food to come out. Also get there early or you will be waiting for a table because the place is quite popular.

Great breakfast! Fast, friendly, and tasty food, too. We had their green juice and heartbeat juice, followed by the Avocado Florentine and Breakfast Tartine with an egg and smoked salmon.

Great spot for breakfast. The food and drinks are excellent and service is super, too - very friendly and efficient staff. It’s not a cheap breakfast, but you get what you pay for and the portions are certainly worth the money. Definitely worth checking out.

Had a bowl of their Caribbean oatmeal porridge, and it was excellent! 10/10 Also, enjoyed an Americano as well. Staff were friendly and warm. I wanted to eat here because of their focus on local produce. Highly recommend a visit 😊

Update 2/14/22:I changed to 5 stars because we had breakfast at this place for another two days and they served us our food quickly. Probably the first time they were short staff or too busy. Also added more delicious pictures lol——————-It’s a cute little place.The food was really good and the staff were friendly. The reasons I’m giving it 4 is because it took almost half hour to get our food and one more thing is I like my coffee hot but today I got a cappuccino and a coco mocha but both were pretty cold when our waiter brought it.

Very cute spot. I went on a Monday morning and it was not busy at all. I’ve seen it get super crowded on the weekends though. The food portion was huge for the smoked salmon florentines. I also got a smoothie which was super large. The price however was US price if not more. The service was fine.

This is an excellent spot to stop at for a filling brunch before you start your day. The location is smaller but still manages to fit a good amount of people. The staff speak English well and are quick to serve your food. We ordered different Florentine dishes and were very happy with our choices! Apparently the bread is made fresh in-house as well. The prices are great and it’s an easy spot to catch your breath in! I recommend swinging by if you’re staying nearby.

Went 2 days in a row during our short trip to Tulum because it was THAT good! Must try the tropical fruit plate with homemade coconut yogurt. Tried the Mato's egg dish with fresh Guacamole, homemade grated tomato salsa and salad and Spinach omelette. Everything was insanely fresh and delicious. Lattes were also yum! Don't miss out 🙂

We visited this cafe for breakfast. It was full of tourists, but their service was very fast. We didn't wait long to get our food, even though the tables were pretty full. The food was very good! The prices aren't cheap, but since it's on the main street, it's worth it.

We went early so we didn’t have to wait for a table and service was attentive and fast. Food was very tasty and portions are definitely huge for the price! 😊Only a side note that won’t make me give 5 stars, the french toast is their specialty (and immediately recommended by the waitress) and unfortunately was to soggy and lacked a bit in flavor. But other than that, it was amazing and we would definitely come back. 💚

Cozy restaurant with amazing food. Great for brunch! The chilaquiles are my favorite. My kids enjoyed the pancakes, the mollete, and my husband the Mexican bowl- all made with Greg ingredient. Definitely coming back!

Was recommended and and was good and fresh and beautifully presented. Service was a little slow but it was busy. This was my personal favorite breakfast place we went to while visiting Tulum this year. Everything was delicious and fresh. Both servers were attentive and great. The French toast was the best one I’ve eaten in Tulum and I tried many. The only slightly down side is, their matcha was a bit weak. The homemade coconut milk was amazing but I like my matcha a bit stronger. But again this is Tulum so I don’t expect traditional matcha. Their bakery 5 blocks down is also so good and the cashier makes a great latte.

Been in Mexico for two weeks and tried not to go to the same restaurants again because we wanted to try out different spots. This restaurant however was so amazing on all aspects that we came back three times. The service, food and ambiance was amazing. Their breakfast and lunch is outstanding. Nothing compared to this one and we've been to a lot of places :)

We liked this place so much we had to come back the next t day for breakfast again. We had the huevos rancheros (we switched the sauce to green sauce) it was mind blowing amazing. We also tried the French toast and it was too dry and flavorless, i felt it tasted like dry bread with syrup. We also tried a couple of their smoothies (heart beat, mango ginger and wild forest) they were all delicious and fresh.

Delicious food, coffee, vegan options, everyone satisfied. We'd say DelCielo lives up to its top spot on the "best brunch of Tulum" lists!

Delicious. Gorgeous presentation and hearty portions. Definitely will come back tomorrow morning before our flight. We had the green smoothie, cappuccino, French toast broche and Ranchero. Service was great overall. Unfortunately my waiter forgot to put in my order but it came out within minutes so I was not too upset.

This place is fantastic. We had breakfast here 2 days in a row. You can either dine in or take your food to go. Be prepared to wait a bit if you’re not an early riser. Show up before 9:30am and you’ll be good. Fresh juices and great coffee. Menu provides lots of choices. I suggest the Mexican bowl. $200 pesos and very filling. My wife got the mango Bircher muesli. That was great as well. We e come to Tulum 3 times now and have always eaten here at least once per stay. Very friendly staff!

Everything was pretty great except the drinks and some of the fruit that came with the entrees. The drinks weren’t as flavorful and the fruit weren’t ripe or were going bad.However overall everything else was pretty damn good.

We had the chilaquiles (add chicken, trust me), pancakes, Kombucha, and Pollen Drink. Honestly, this was the best breakfast I have ever had in my life and it’s not even a close second. I have been all over tulum and Mexico my whole life (not just the touristy spots). The photo is unedited… beautiful.

I was sat quite quickly and had a decent table to myself outside. The service was quick and they were really helpful as I was having difficulty choosing what to order!In the end I opted for a popular dish the rancheros with pork shoulder followed by a chai latte.Although the food came out in good time it was barely warm. I’m not sure if that was intentional but it definitely impacted the dish. I was expecting lots of flavours but was a little underwhelmed. Even the avocado had lacked flavour.The chai latte was hot but didn’t taste that good but I did enjoy the cookie next to it.It was quite busy and perhaps I just ordered a bad choice - I would definitely come back to try again as the service was nice and the ambience was relaxing.Check out the backs of the servers T-shirts when you go! 😇

Not worth the time or money.I have tried Chile relleno and tacos.Tacos are pipenapple based and after having one, your tastebuds will pray you to stop eating. It s o sweet and and not well curated.Chile relleno was under cooked and did not like the flavors at all.Food is not great and wouldn’t recommend this place.

Lots of options but funny enough we all settled on the same dish- enchiladas with vegetables and cheese, side of rice and beans! Sooo delicious. The drinks are all very refreshing. I‘lol definitely be back to try more items!

Soup, yucca fries, house salad & stuffed pepper were excellent! Only 4 stars because the carrot cake was dense & flavorless. But would definitely return for everything else.

Amazing gem of a place that is completely vegetarian. Has vegan options also. The staff are very warm and also speak basic English, enough to ask about the food and place an order. I had the 4piece Tacos with Tofu with a lemonade and a vegan cheesecake. The lemonade was fairly standard but the Tacos were mind blowing. It was fresh and refreshing. The tacos were served with a Mango Chipotle Dip which was lip smacking. The cheesecake has a different texture (more grainy and nutty) than a standard cheesecake but once I got adjusted to that I loved the taste. Would highly recommend the Tacos and the vegan cheesecake!

I ordered beets salad and mixed vegetables with tofu for one night. I went back to get stuffed pepper with mixed vegetables another night. All dishes were good and delicious.

there are 3 things I would like to point out for the place,1- Portions were so small.2- Overall taste of the food was way worse than the other vegetarian restaurants around.3- It was incredibly overpriced- on top of that they asked %3 additional fee if I paid by card which no other restaurants have asked for. The waiter asked me if I wanted to tip even though there wasn't really any service- i said 'NO' - first time in my life.The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is that the smoothie I ordered was delicious.

Absolutely loved this place! Located in the center of Tulum it offers outstanding vegetarian and vegan food! The host was incredible. Ask for garden seating. Feels like you are at someone's home.

Hands down the best Vegetarian Restaurant in Tulum!!!The First time we went for dinner at this place, honestly they serve the best brown rice in town, My husband had a dish called Shamde (Which I had when we went there the 2nd time) Yummiest dish I've ever had!!Plus they serve the best tacos!!! My wife and I had the pork, chicken and crispy fish tacos with guacamole chips. Everything tasted soooo good. Loved the hot sauce. Drinks were perfect. But what really impressed me was the staff. Excellent, excellent service! We were there Saturday night and will be back!

I’ve been there a lot a few months ago where it was super tasty.So I decided to come back now in January. Now I’ve gone three times during high season, for both lunch and dinner time,and each time the quality got worse.They reduced the size of the juices, now it is just one glass, when before it was a whole bottle of juice. Also the taste of the juice is less intense and good.This last time the fish in the taco was unenjoyable.

A taqueria as it should be. Great Mexican flavours - interesting and innovative without getting over pretentious. Generous portions at a reasonable price. It's in a quieter part of Tulum, so especially nice if you had enough of the crowds (even though we came here in February). The chilaquiles are great any time of the day, not just for breakfast and the tacos are to die for. Take some of their salsas home, especially the one with moritas.

04, June, 2023We had an mazing experience here!I saw the menu online and thought the food sounded interesting.Jose was a great server last night.We ordered margaritas and mezcalitas.Our server also recommended the guacamole; this was deliciously flavored (the chips were nothing special, homemade chips would have made this extra special).We ordered the fried calamari appetizer and for main course we ordered:ribeye tacos and grilled octopus.Normally, I would not order octopus in the USA, but our server informed us the octopus was locally caught. This was the best octopus I have ever had.All the food was fresh, and properly seasoned. The calamari could have been a little more crispy, but the freshness of the food was great.The server offered us bug spray, and the seating is outside with a patio style roof. The bug spray was necessary, the mosquitos are aggressive in the evening.Pros:— great ambiance (lighting, seating, decor)— strong and well made margaritas, mezcalitas— wonderfully flavored and balanced food— Copal smoke everywhere which was great

Honestly, the #1 outdoor bar that I would recommend in Tulum. The staff is amazing all around, including Aranza at the “door”. We honestly were not going to stop here after having a long day in the sun and she reeled us in with a great smile and welcome demeanor. Christian was our bartender and was AMAZING! Super talented and very passionate about mixology. We had to come back for a second time during our visit because it was so good. ALSO, they have a wine room named Cardamomo that is temperature controlled with an exceptional selection. If you get a chance, stop for a drink here at the very least!

Hands down the best meal we’ve had in Tulum. Unbelievably fresh seafood, unique preparation, and exceptional service. The whole grilled fish and lobster were perfect, green ceviche with apples was a great spin on a classic, and even the green side salad was refreshing and unique. You get what you pay for. Great experience at Escama. Very laid back, but lively atmosphere. We enjoyed two drinks (one each), the wood fired bone marrow tacos (super delicious), and two pan de muertes (also very delicious).They have a real wood fire that emits a beautiful aroma across the outdoor seating area of the restaurant. Had groovy, chill house which adds to the silky smooth ambiance of moody lighting. Overall was a very pleasant evening experience and would definitely come back again!

My friend and I went here three nights in a row, Tuesday through Thursday. He's Polish, so we drank them clean out of Vodka by the third night. The bartender is very nice, but the only one working so she can get a bit overwhelmed at large crowds. I'm not a fan of live music, so I didn't like that but did like the tunes most of the time playing by the speakers. The atmosphere is very chill and has a good vibe. We did not try the food, so no comment there. Overall, it's a good place in my opinion.

The first time we came the service and the food were perfect. We enjoyed the wonderful garden setting that’s perfect for those needing a relaxing place to work on their laptop, or entertain their children on the swings or with board games. The second time we came it took 20+ minutes to order food and drinks. The poor service was not the fault of the workers but of the owners who had left their restaurant incredibly understaffed— one waiter for 12 tables is an embarrassing investment to make during breakfast hours! Luckily the food came out perfectly delicious! We plan to return next time we’re in Tulum not only because of the bangin’ Eggs Benedict, but because we know these guys can do better and will provide us with more timely service next time.

Stopped here for coffee one morning. Coffee was well-made and beans were roasted properly. Other than that this is a beautiful, beautiful space. A nice little cafe plus restaurant in the heart of Tulum downtown. They have a great breakfast menu (till 2pm) serving acai bowls, pancakes, french toast and pastries. The ambience is amazing and peaceful, surrounded by trees with light peeking through.I just had the french toast and cappuccino and they were good enough to satisfy my craving after 2 hours of diving.A good safe option if you are in the neighborhood.They also open fairly early at 7am which is rare for Tulum, hence a good place for early breakfast

Small and pretty place.The waitress was really kind and nice, he knew the menu very well and knew his well stuff.The food was really good, everything was tasty, but the portions were really small, for the price you would imagine something a bit bigger.The time for drinks and food was ok.The presentation is very pretty.The only thing was at the end, the waitress just charged as much tip as he wanted, he did not even ask or suggest anything, that ruined how great he had been that far.But I think that's a regular practice in Tulum, always check your bill and how much they charge you.

He showed me the menu and we came back the last night of our stay. So glad we did...We had the opportunity to experience a 6 course meal along with 2 signature drinks. Our host for the evening was Cristobal. He advised he was new but he was so well informed of the specialty menu and had great customer service you would never know. The menu here is really well thought out and offers something that's just a bit different - but really tasty. co*cktails are the same, offering something you might not typically order but very pleased when you do. Casa Amate used to be the best restaurant on the larger Mayakoba property, we’ve eaten here at least 4 times previously in 2021 and 2022, but for our most recent visit (2023) it does seem to have lapsed a little, at least in some respects.The overall ambience is still lively but we had to move tables due to a dripping A/C vent, and found another diner who had a similar experience with a wet seat from another dripping A/C unit and had to move. Also whilst most of the rooms are comfortable and pleasant, the chairs and tables indoors are poorly chosen, in terms of mismatched height, so as make it slightly uncomfortable to sit and eat (we’re 5’8” and 6’0” tall, so fairly average I’d think)The most important thing of course is the food, and on our 4 previous visits Casa Amate has never failed to impress, delivering outstanding food every time (so much so that we seek the restaurant out when we aren’t staying at the Andaz). This time though the food was disappointing, still good, but when the bar has been set as high as it was from our previous visits then serving food that’s ‘only’ good is a disappointment. The Tositado starter was a highlight, and very good, but the red snapper main course was good but not great, whilst the Uraguayan Chupin was simply too intense on the tomato flavor and overpowered the fish, again not bad but also not great.Perhaps just an off day, or perhaps the restaurant performs better with meat-centric dishes that we’ve had in the past rather than fish. Overall it’s still worth a visit, but set expectations a little lower than previously and maybe stick to meat dishes.

Saturday evening tasting menu 'From Mexico to Andaz' including wine pairing with 2 glasses of Mexican white, one red and tequila pairing from Clase Azul. Before tonight I did not know I like tequila. At friendly 1600 this is fabulous value.I have been to a number of different restaurants in this area of Mexico and Casa Amare takes the price for most precise and excellent cooking. Tonight the Mexican twist was leaning towards Spain. Marvellous.Wine list holds a great variety and quite a number of good choices.Tip: Get a table outside.2nd visit Tuesday evening. I had the 'chicken with grappamiel' which made me think of top level European gourmet dining. If you are not afraid of odd wine pairings try a glass of the Spanish Itsasmendi No7 which makes the chicken come 'alive'.

They are one of very few places in the country that have a license to serve totoaba fish, so I would definitely recommend trying it!

We stayed at Andez for 6 days and had breakfast here almost everyday.I would definitely recommend the ala carte over the buffet. My husband and I had an absolutely incredible time at the Andaz Mayakoba resort, and our many visits to Casa Amate had a lot to do with it. We visited this restaurant several times during our stay. Each time, we were warmly greeted by Andrea and Francisco, who made us feel like family. We then started our evening with a drink at the (absolutely stunning) bar, prepared by Daniel, the remarkably skilled bartender who treated us like honored guests. Although the entire menu looks mouthwatering, we couldn't get away from the same two dishes: the totoaba tiradito and the Latin trilogy. These were the standouts that we had to keep ordering. The flavors were incredible, and we couldn't get enough. Christian, our server on multiple occasions, provided impeccable service and made a lasting impression on us. By the time we left the restaurant on our last night at the Andaz, we knew for certain that we'll come back to Mayakoba—for all of the many reasons there are to return to this gorgeous and unforgettable property, but especially for the exceptional hospitality and exquisite flavors on offer at Casa Amate.

First of all it’s kind of ridiculous that water is free everywhere else but $195 pesos here. Additionally, when we went it was at most 30% full so we asked if reservations were mandatory and they confirmed even though it was pretty much empty you wouldn’t be able to eat at Casa Amate without a reservation.We got the mushroom soup to start and ordered the red snapper and lamb as our mains. That plus a co*cktail was $200 USD. Pretty expensive for mediocre food. The mushroom soup was pretty bland. The red snapper was good not great and the lamb was just a poorly composed dish. The lamb was super fatty and they served it on top of a bed of black beans and soppressata which only made it heavier.The highlight was honestly the free bread and the little bonbons they gave to us at the end.I would suggest eating at the Fairmont or Banyan Tree instead of any of the Andaz restaurants.

I wish I could rate this restaurant well, but unfortunately the service did not meet the Mayakoba experience. We were told our reservation was made, yet when we arrived, the host was unable to find it. Unfortunately he was unable to accommodate us and made no effort to rectify the issue. We come to Mayakoba yearly and decided to give Andaz a try, unfortunately would not return nor recommend. The service does not even compare to its sister hotels.

Definitely our favorite of the restaurants we tried in the Mayakoba area. We ended up dining here twice. Charming decor that imitates a house, with different rooms decorated as a study, a library, a living room or a dining room. The staff was wonderful, always warm and helpful. I would recommend the hummus and the tuna avocado starters, and the duck breast and the steak as main courses. Even the dessert was lovely, we specially enjoyed the vanilla - filled fritters with coffee ice cream. We even tried one chocolate dessert that included some fried grasshoppers (chapulines), great experience overall!

A high bar is set at Rosewood Mayakoba but Agave Azul finds a way to meet and exceed. Diego (manager) and his team were so attentive to us and our one year old. We came here a few years ago and it was just as impressive. Also, for any parents looking at reviews this is the best kids menu on property.

Japanese/Asian dishes integrated with Mexican flavors of lime, chilies, and sweet fruit. Excellent place to eat outside. Jessica, our server, was friendly and amazing!

Quiet cozy modern and tucked away in the jungle of The Mayakoba Rosewood Hotel Resort near Cancun, Mexico. Fantastic service and delicious Asian cuisine. Low lit atmosphere adds to the experience. I had Rockshrimp and Pad Thai. Excellent! Don't forget the Tequilla. Vast selection of Mexico's finest Agave Tequillas!

WONDERFUL STAFF 👌 but, as it turns out, this place clearly is taking advantage that people pay upwards of $1,400/ night USD to stay at the Rosewood. Rock shrimp and sushi roll with eel was about $75 USD w/o tip. Dry sushi rice, solid fried shrimp, but not worth $32 lol.Decor was similar to a Red Robin or Olive Garden from 10 years ago, maximum chewgy. This is for people who haven’t had good food and are enamored by the resort 🤷‍♂️

It's a nice Asian-Latin fusion restaurant. Prices are similar to the ones in the the U.S. Great selection of tequilas, it's a tequila bar too. A bit overpriced in my opinion.

So first thing. The online menu is slightly out of date. Just FYI. We loved this place. It has a nice large outdoor space overlooking the lagoon. Great view. The service was fantastic. Everyone went out of their way. The food was just amazing. Delicious. We ordered too much for 2 people but loved it all. The rock shrimp appetizer was big and great. The beef spring roll is so good. It’s four pieces 2 spring rolls. In addition to the regular sauces they made us some additional sauce that was like a slightly spicy aioli. That was great. We had the soft shelled crab and the ribeye. Each of these were a big meal in themselves. The ribeye was sliced seasoned and in a light juice or sauce. Really a great steak. Like you’d get at a great Japanese restaurant. Loved it all and highly recommend.

Went last night for a walk in. Staff was super rude and unaccomidating. Restaurant was empty at 715 due to severe storms/monsoon weather but they refused to let us wait for a cancellation as they were confident no one would cancel. We stopped by 90 minutes later and the restaurant was still empty.

We stayed at Tuk Tulum (where Girafe is located) and we ate here multiple times! SO good! Every meal we had was absolutely delicious! The presentation was beautiful. The staff was very attentive and personable! Highly recommend!

Located in a nice hub... great if you want to do some work as it's peaceful and there's parking to get to here. I really enjoyed my tuna croissant and it was beautifully presented... my boyfriends eggs, avocado toast was very basic in comparison. They expect a 20% tip on the bill which for breakfast is steep i think! We always tip regardless but to expect that amount for not a lot to do is abit cheeky!

Terrible ! I stayed on the property and ate at this place twice for dinner and once for breakfast (because breakfast was included in my stay). The first night I arrived late so I ordered a burger to go. When I got to my Airbnb I was extremely disgusted when I cut into my burger and it was raw in the middle ! Pictures below. I spoke with both managers and they urged me to accept a different meal because giving me a refund " was too difficult for them". Not wanting to be a pain , I accepted the free meal instead of a refund , WRONG IDEA. The second meal was a few thin pieces of tasteless chicken breast , hard rice, and "black bean puree". For breakfast you are limited to what's included, so I chose the best option ( so I thought). They brought out tortillas with a few strips of rotisserie chicken in each. I was so appalled , I did not even bother getting the FREE breakfast for the reminder of my stay.

Went here several times back when I was in Tulum in May 2021. I loved their huevos rancheros and eggs Benedict was decent too. Great place to work from whether you are inside or outside.

Amazing food, amazing service and the prices were great for what we were given. Bernie was our server and we was absolutely exceptional!Also, everything was great but the duck tacos especially we delicious, highly recommend!

Omg...... after crashes in places with overpriced menus and bad quality food, We found this hide treasure place, in a simple word “Awesome” clean, beautiful decoration.. ceviche was a gourmet, the fish delicious... I highly recommend it... our waitress Jonathan was the magic touch in service... :)

We have been for 2 weeks and its the best breakfast that i had in Mexico , the restaurant is really good clean and delicious plus the service is excellent, I recommend you to try the pancakes also they are amazing .

GREAT service with FANTASTIC food!!! Had the roasted chicken dinner with grilled seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes, and pineapple vinaigrette which was AWESOME!! HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!

We have had the best food and service at Vidanta with this exception of Chiringuito. The service was terrible, nice employees, just terrible service. We never got our drinks refilled, we watched our food sit on the counter for ten minutes before our server finally brought it to our table. No one ever check on us to see if the food was ok or if we needed anything. It was a very different experience than we’ve had. We got the oven baked nachos which were not great. The chips were either stale or soggy and definitely was not worth $25 usd. For our meal we ordered the paella, which takes 40 minutes to cook and was fine with us. It’s serves two and there was plenty. It was a little salty but overall it was good. However our lunch turned into a 2 hour lunch. We had to find someone to get us our bill so we could sign and leave. This is the only restaurant in Vidanta we don’t recommend and don’t plan to return to.

The paella was beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients. It was delicious and a generous portion was served. Would have liked more saffron. We caught the live guitar player and flamenco dance act. They were excellent. The service was attentive and professional. I recommend Chiringuito without reservation. This is a great place for a romantic dinner or a family or group. Choose your table accordingly

A beautiful place by the beach club, I really wanted to have a meal there. When I finally did it was the paella and a complementary glass of sangria that I looked forward to enjoying. The paella was good but the complementary sangria was a half glass of lemonade and the other half wine of some sort (not sangria at all). The waiters were friendly enough once we got the order straight. However the atmosphere was less than warm and inviting. My experience was disappointing.

Dinner was good we ate here the last day of our trip. They are great small plates sharing Tapas and the boards had a mix that allowed you to get 1 oz of each. Restaurant is beachfront so you can get a seat that has a direct view of the ocean which is nice in the evenings. Reservations are required here however they allowed us to see the earlier than are expected reservation because they had cancellations. Service was a little less formal than the French restaurant here at the resort but still had an upscale feel.

We ate here twice during this week-long stay. The food & service is excellent. They have authentic Mexican cuisine like paella and options for those with a weaker stomach.

Great tacos, very well presented, good price too, we went at night, only thing is there's mosquitoes, but I guess that's Puerto Morelos for you. Much better than those ocean front restaurants. The tuna special is a must try!

Humble yet incredible!! The grilled fish and ceviche was super fresh, flavourful and elevated - hands down the best seafood we’ve had in Mexico. The service was warm and entertaining, we throughly enjoyed our evening spent at Amor y Pez! Don’t forget a margarita or 2 🤩

Very nice restaurant. All ingredients are fresh made at time of ordering, nothing is pre-made. The guacamole was made fresh and the tortilla chips were hot. The ice cream is made fresh daily. Awesome restaurant. Highly recommend.

The best food in Puerto Morelos!My wife and I visited Amor y Pez last night, and it was so good that we had to go back for lunch today amd try more things on the menu. It is by far the best food we’ve had in Puerto Morelos and it is much cheaper than most other places.You have to try the Octopus Sope. The Octopus was cooked perfectly it almost melts in your mouth. We loved the Marlin Gordita (we’d never tried Marlin before. We love it. Who knew?). The New Orleans Shrimp Po’ Boy was also a favorite. Everything we ate was simply delicious and they also have fantastic Artisanal Ice Cream for dessert. Had an amazing dining experience here.The food and service were outstanding!Highly highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you visit Puerto Morelos. We are already planning another visit before our trip ends.We ordered the ceviche, fish tacos and guacamole for appetizers followed by the daily special whole fried snapper. It was seriously the best fish I’ve ever had!The price was extremely reasonable. And a big thank you to Luis, who helped us brush up on our Spanish throughout our experience. He is great!

Great place for an inexpensive and delicious meal! Fantastic service. Pay in card or cash. Was offered secret menu tacos and really enjoyed them. Wasn't busy after 9pm and the meal really hit the spot. Excited to go back and try something other than the tacos.

This is a great little gem tucked right behind the main street with all the restaurants. It's a new, clean, and cozy spot with both outdoor and indoor seating.The staff was kind and professional and the food came out fast.Really enjoyed the food. I had the marlin and the mushroom quesadilla.

Great food and prices. Menu is not too big so selection is easy and the options were very good. Service was excellent and the waiter spoke English very well. We ordered the shrimp burrito and fish and chips with tartar sauce. We were both very happy with our meals. Will definitely go back.

I haven't tried better Mexican food before. La Marea went above and beyond our expectations! Everything you want to try from Mexican cuisine is very delicious here. We went to other famous restaurants in the area (like Porfirious and Rosa Negra), and I can tell for sure that the quality of food and service is way higher in La Marea that in any other place.

Amazing place. Was treated with the finest dining and most exquisite service. Took my girlfriend walking along the beach and stumbled here, not our hotel but they graciously took us in and gave us amazing service. The food was extremely delicious and came in many courses before and even after our main entrée. The staff were friendly and professional, we were treated to 5 star hospitality. Actually asked my date to be my girlfriend that night and the setting was perfect for it. Should I come back to Playa De Carmen, I'm most definitely giving this place another visit or even getting my stay here.

Found this place walking down the beach one night. We asked if the restaurant was open to public, as some resorts are guest only, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The ambiance was dark and romantic with a lovely view of the pool area and beach.The food was spectacular. The menu was carefully curated and every detail is accounted for. This is also true in regards to the waitstaff. Extremely attentive, and elegant. I ordered the pork and my boyfriend ordered the rib eye. The pork was amazing and was to be eaten as tacos with handmade corn tortillas. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and great quality. It also came accompanied with handmade flour tortillas.In addition to our main course, we were brought in house made blue corn and huitlacoche bread, which was unique and delicious.For dessert we got the abuelita chocolate pastel, which we thought was the perfect end of the meal. But we were brought bite sized sampler of traditional Mexican candies as well as a dessert tequila drink.Overall five star experience. Would definitely recommend and return time and time again.

Excellent service and food presentation. I had the lamb, my wife the ribeye. One little point about the restaurant, the lighting is low so the necessary picking through a ribeye was not possible. I would highly recommend all other entrees. Scallops were a bit "al dente.". We love good bread and it came with a delicious tapenade. Dessert was a good Italian sorbet with a cookie topped flan and a French meraigne. My wife's white wine and my cab were tasty.Update: back a second night several nights later. Better than the first night. Such cordial staff. They made us so comfortable. The food — excellent.
